The Ask: To celebrate ten years of genomic breakthroughs, Google Research asked the Hook team to create a commemorative video animation.
I developed the visual language of this motion piece, using a central DNA motif to serve as the structure of the timeline, and created the style for the individual milestone illustrations that was built out by the rest of the team.
This combination of thoughtful illustrative interpretations with detailed-oriented animation resulted in an elegant and engaging celebration of monumental scientific achievements. The final video was featured on Google Research's various socials including LinkedIn.
